"Hot Diggity Damn!"

date: December 24, 2007

I'll agree with the others and say that this sounds very much from the Medieval era. As soon as I started this music it immediately made me think of a whole bunch of cultures from all around the world, like I'm being taken from one place and I'm speeding throughout the world and witnessing day-to-day activities of other countries from the past and present.

This is definitely one of your better works. Excellent job!

Author's Response:

Many thanks Heinrich. It's interesting that it's also one of my older. Started mid 2006, it is over a year old. Perhaps I should try to make more songs like this? Maybe.

I'm glad you saw such an image and that you enjoyed it, thank you for the review!

Hello again, MaestroRage!

I see you haven't lost your touch since I was absent from reviewing flash and audio. I can totally see this in a World War theme. I can imagine soldiers getting to their destination and getting ready for battle. The drums were a really nice touch especially for a war-themed submission (assuming Wolf Team is another war game).

Good job. It was really refreshing to listen to another piece of classical music from you.

December 25, 2007

Author's Response:

ah Heinrich! Good to see you again :)!

Quite right to assume WT is a war game, a little stale now, but there are those who still enjoy what is there. A good number of reviewers also saw this as a World War theme. I must be honest and say that wasn't my first impression at all, though as time goes by I see where the notion is coming from. It does indeed portray such an energy.

Thank you kindly for the review, i'm glad you liked it :D!

This would be the perfect background music for a peaceful or a sad climax for a scene. It sounded so peaceful that I could fall asleep under the night sky while listening to it and have a good sleep. It's just that professional and was a rather refreshing piece of decent music for the night.

Good job. From the looks of this, you'll get flash artists to use your music for their upcoming flashes. I know I would look for ways to use this in a flash if I was any good at flash.

Author's Response:

thank you, I hope that people will put this in their flash! =)

Just wow, this short loop is just plain awesome. It's catchy as all Hell and if I was better at flash, I would definitely use this as my own sort of theme. Excellent job!

Electrick - Morphology

"Excellent!"

date: July 23, 2007

Ah, very good! The beat was very catchy and good to listen to. It would be perfect for parties and for night clubs. It is also one of the better songs in the Audio Portal. So good I'm adding this into my favourites.

Some of the parts remind me of the movie 300 while others remind me of dancing scenes from some movies.

Excellent Job with this piece of art.

This piece of fine music would go perfect with a stereotypical silent film! The piano was classic at tune and when I daydream with this song, I think of the early 20th century where it's all black and white. Good job with this.

This one makes me think of a castle siege at dusk. Once it got all peaceful, I think of the lord of the castle sitting inside of the castle writing his final moments. Then the door breaks down and so the army takes over the castle and end the night with a celebration. The lord is in the dungeon waiting for trial and then suddenly a soldier comes towards him and draws his sword.

You have a great taste for epic audio. Your way of epic audio is amazing. Your audio has so much potential for excellent flashes on Newgrounds. So much potential for the mind and its wondrous day dreams.

leaving that behind. The original story, a few review below yours, written by Dreamshire himself depicts the entire scene. You've got a fairly large part of the imagery down, and i'm glad you feel that way, for it means the song was a success!!

Also most of these songs first started as but a daydream, and it is with the intention that they take you away to another place, if only for a minute, that I create them. To know that they can do just this for you makes me happy!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

When it first started, I immediately thought of Venice, a land where the streets are rivers. But that was only the start! Then when it got big and epic, I imagined a Spartan Hoplite standing on top of a large rock. I really liked the build-up and then it went flat and went on with the sounds of vibrating strings. Then it was all peaceful with a slight build-up with a sudden bell and so the final curtain shut. Epic masterpiece.

The Asian touch was a nice idea. The song overall was something I can’t describe. Excellent job.

Author's Response:

Hello Heinrich!

The oriental touch is entirely from that Koto instrument! I absolutely adore it personally. I feel it has a very large diversity of voices to use. But thats besides the point.

I like your imagery, and I realize that with the sudden change images were shifted in perhaps a way that didn't make sense. I know a few friends felt that the transition was simply too strong.

"Here I am swimming in a lake, and suddenly it's on fire >:(" they would say, and I would giggle, because any lake that would catch fire, is not one they should be swimming in!

In any case, I am glad you liked the piece, thank you kindly for the review!

Ah, another masterpiece by you!

This one made me imagine an aftermath of a battle from the sounds and mood of it and then once it got to the epic part, I then got images of several large boats sailing across the sea to a whole new world.

This is a very peaceful and epic setting of an audio in one piece of great audio. You did, as always, a great job on this. All I can say is, keep up the good work

Author's Response:

Travel eh? I did not really consider this a piece for a journey, but when I dwell on this thought you present, I see the image quite vividly.

A great a powerful fleet dedicated to exploring what others would deem suicidal. To there, and beyond!

I enjoyed this image, and your review, thank you for both! I am glad you liked it ^^.

Epic.

I can imagine two armies coming into contact in a barren wasteland with a dark red-grayish sky like the sky in 300 with armies chanting and then another scene pops up with the aftermath of the terrible battle with corpses lying in the barren field.

That is what I like the best in your music, able to be emotional, epic and full of imagery at once. This piece of art was well composed with the right sounds and rhythms, beats and instruments to make it all epic.

Great job again. Your music is the reason why I gained interest in the Audio Portal.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you liked this one so. It seems that 300 is a movie brought up quite often for this piece. I have yet to see the movie, but if it has music like this, I suppose I have absolutely no choice and must see it!

I hope you will hear the full version, which I will upload on Wednesday, it is in my opinion significantly better!

Thank you for the review, once again i'm glad you enjoyed this and the other works. That is why they are there.
