When it first started, I immediately thought of Venice, a land where the streets are rivers. But that was only the start! Then when it got big and epic, I imagined a Spartan Hoplite standing on top of a large rock. I really liked the build-up and then it went flat and went on with the sounds of vibrating strings. Then it was all peaceful with a slight build-up with a sudden bell and so the final curtain shut. Epic masterpiece.
The Asian touch was a nice idea. The song overall was something I can’t describe. Excellent job.
Author's Response:
Hello Heinrich!
The oriental touch is entirely from that Koto instrument! I absolutely adore it personally. I feel it has a very large diversity of voices to use. But thats besides the point.
I like your imagery, and I realize that with the sudden change images were shifted in perhaps a way that didn't make sense. I know a few friends felt that the transition was simply too strong.
"Here I am swimming in a lake, and suddenly it's on fire >:(" they would say, and I would giggle, because any lake that would catch fire, is not one they should be swimming in!
In any case, I am glad you liked the piece, thank you kindly for the review!

Ah, another masterpiece by you!
This one made me imagine an aftermath of a battle from the sounds and mood of it and then once it got to the epic part, I then got images of several large boats sailing across the sea to a whole new world.
This is a very peaceful and epic setting of an audio in one piece of great audio. You did, as always, a great job on this. All I can say is, keep up the good work
Author's Response:
Travel eh? I did not really consider this a piece for a journey, but when I dwell on this thought you present, I see the image quite vividly.
A great a powerful fleet dedicated to exploring what others would deem suicidal. To there, and beyond!
I enjoyed this image, and your review, thank you for both! I am glad you liked it ^^.

Epic.
I can imagine two armies coming into contact in a barren wasteland with a dark red-grayish sky like the sky in 300 with armies chanting and then another scene pops up with the aftermath of the terrible battle with corpses lying in the barren field.
That is what I like the best in your music, able to be emotional, epic and full of imagery at once. This piece of art was well composed with the right sounds and rhythms, beats and instruments to make it all epic.
Great job again. Your music is the reason why I gained interest in the Audio Portal.
Author's Response:
I'm glad you liked this one so. It seems that 300 is a movie brought up quite often for this piece. I have yet to see the movie, but if it has music like this, I suppose I have absolutely no choice and must see it!
I hope you will hear the full version, which I will upload on Wednesday, it is in my opinion significantly better!
Thank you for the review, once again i'm glad you enjoyed this and the other works. That is why they are there.

In this one, I can imagine two kids running in a field and then two people dancing at a royal ball. The imagery is great and the music is able to calm down the savage beast within me. Yeah, I was angry about something until your music calmed my inner beast. Great stuff with imagery and a calming yet diverse atmosphere.
Author's Response:
I'm glad it served a purpose then Heinrich. I know the feeling of having pent up anger, and there is a fine line between being able to use it to create something, and then being too angry to do anything. I am however glad that this was able to help you in some way.
Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it, and that this was useful to you. I hope whatever angered you, is no longer a source of frustration.

This sounds like the end of something and then the rise of something great like the saying, “From Death, arises new Life”. Creative with the sounds and was very well composed and very appropriate for a scene of a natural landscape. Yes, I can picture a field with a hill and fireflies flying above the field with this music.
The music sounds like the end and then beginning, while my mind thinks of a landscape.
Good job, as usual I can see this in the movies. I can see a bright future of music composing ahead of you.
Author's Response:
Thank you again Heinrich. You are right with the emotion works behind this piece. Though they brought an end to their existence, a great many of them continued to survive, and grow in the world. Many of them died as well though, and their history books will no doubt be written with lots of blood shed at the ending.
Oh well, where one empire falls, another takes its place right?
I don't know about that future, but i'll just continue doing what I'm doing. Maybe someday I can be of even more use to people!
Thank you for the review Heinrich, i'm glad you liked it!

Great intro piece! This reminds me of an intro of a movie I used to watch as a kid with the near silence and the drums with a soothing ending after the climax to make it sound like something epic was over and the action was falling. The clarity was good as usual; you are very creative with the instruments and very bold sounding.
Great Job, Sir!
Author's Response:
Thank you for your kind words Heinrich. This piece was a more intimate practice piece, as I was trying to really try and get more of the orchestra involved. More brass, the woodwinds, everything. I like to think this time around it wasn't the best success, but it is a good start!
Thank you for the review! I'm glad you liked it!

Alas! I daydream of a battle between two swordsmen inside of a caravel. The bells and the shaking sounds were nice touches along with the main part of the music that makes it sound like a fight between two men. The loop also looped very well making it sound like no end.
Good job once again!
Author's Response:
Thank you Heinrich! There is indeed a fight between forces here. Sometimes between 2 fighters, sometimes between a small army. But always there is a struggle to be had.
Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it ^^.

As good as always. I really liked how this sounded as if something great and terrible was heading my way and then sounds like a tragedy just happened and went silent with the calming tingling sounds and the silent beating of drums and then something epic happens out of nowhere like an epic journey and then dies down with a great ending.
I can picture quite a few things with this piece of artistic music. Your music always has.
I can also see this in a part of a movie, either Flash or actual Hollywood Movie.
Great Job. If the redisign allows you to have a favorite audio authors list in your profile, then I would definitely add you very high in my list.
Author's Response:
Thank you Heinrich! This one was a very interesting project, as normally I have a story or image written down to work with, this time I had a full blown poem! It was an interesting experience cutting it up into parts and then writing the works!
I hope the redesign brings a lot of sweet features to both the audio and flash page. Though to be brutally honest, I don't really have high hopes. We'll see what happens :D! I'll be here regardless I believe.
Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Whoa, now THIS is quality work! I can picture a modern war moviescene in the Middle East in my mind! The flute at Middle Easter tone is a nice touch and the other instrument combination was just plain awesome.
This is now another favorite audio of mine!

I don’t normally like piano music but I found this piece of music to be very peaceful and relaxing to listen to. This also brings up a few thoughts of mine of the emotional sides of life.
Beautiful job you did here.
